About Our Events

Fédération Simequestre is only here to plan the events and showcase the submitted entries and will not judge them. Only those entering the events may participate in the 'judging' by simply voting the entries by their order of preference in accordance to the theme given (excluding their own(s)). We believe this is the best way to make the competition completely fair and thus be a show for artists by artists. In the event of ties, the vote will be open to viewers as well.

When a show or show serie ends, a vote button will be posted on the Current Event page with information on how to and who can vote at that time. Winners (first 3 places unless otherwise specified) will be awarded prizes (either displayed before the start of the competition or open to the winners themselves - this will depend on the event and the person sponsoring it) catering to the Sims 3 (poses, edits, retextures, meshes, templates, coats, and/or a combination of).

Our events are about creativity, beauty, realism and story telling with pictures (and sometimes accompanied by text). This means we are not looking for horses performing perfectly and although you might want to showcase that aspect, it won't advantage your entry. Likewise presenting a fall will not disqualify you (unless specified otherwise by show host). Freedom is awesome for creative minds, but for those you who might not have an idea of what to do, we have thought of handy little tool: the Event Randomizer.

SHOW CIRCUITS

On this site, we would like to give everybody the chance to experience competition at their own pace and in the setting they enjoy most. For this purpose, we offer two (2) different circuits (kind of like in real life - although they may be called differently): A Casual circuit and a Pro circuit.

CASUAL CIRCUIT

The Casual circuit is how you would expect, casual. No registration, no restrictions. When your horse and rider are riding in the casual circuit, they can enter any and all disciplines they like, how little or often they like.

However, the casual circuit only features lower levels and nothing international. The prizes are smaller (you will not find new meshes offered but maybe depending on the host, retextures are possible) with no virtual money prizes.

This is the circuit you ride in with your leisure pony or while you are still learning to ride at your local pony club, or simply to have fun with friends. This circuit is ideal for those horses you see as polyvalent/all rounders, or for those of you who want to enter shows from time to time with no pressure.

Time will come when you might want to take a horse/rider into the pro circuit. Careful, once you go pro with a horse or rider, you cannot enter them in casual shows anymore (at the exception of the young horse division (rider only)), until they retire from the pro circuit.

Amateur Division

This is the regular division in the casual circuit. It is hosted at every single show and anyone 19 years or older is entering it by default (younger riders are allowed to enter as well). Horses of all ages welcome! Riders and horses from the professional circuit are prohibited.

Young Horse Division

This division permits horses 5 years and younger to compete without facing the more experienced pairs. Riders of any age and from both casual and professional circuit allowed.

Young Rider Division

A division for young riders who are still learning how to ride and their ponies. When this division is hosted (not mandatory) riders 18 and younger are entering it by default (riders 19 and older are prohibited). Ponies and Horses of all ages welcome! Riders and horses from the professional circuit are prohibited.

PROFESSIONAL CIRCUIT
