Dates: January 5 2016 - Open Ended

Judging: January 20 2016

Host: FSE

General Information

The Open Ended Registration Show is about registering for the Professional Circuit, creativity and overall appeal.

This event requires two (2) images taken anywhere you like.

Texts are not required but we will be happy to read about your horse.

Three (3) class types and unlimited entries.

In the event that there are more than ten entries in a class subclasses will be created.

Pictures and Text Requirement

If you are registering both a horse and a rider together, the following are required:

  • One picture must show the horse's conformation (please no front shots).

  • One picture must show the rider (full body) in a setting of your choice.

  • OR One picture showing both the horse's conformation and the rider together (rider can be the handler)

  • One picture must show the horse and its rider in the discipline they are going Pro in.

If you are registering just a horse (the rider of this horse must already be registered in the discipline):

  • One picture must show the horse's conformation (please no front shots).

  • One picture must show the horse and its rider in the discipline they are going Pro in.

If you are registering just a rider (the horse of this rider must already be registered in the discipline):

  • One picture must show the rider (full body) in a setting of your choice.

  • One picture must show the horse and its rider in the discipline they are going Pro in.

-----

  • You may have additional pictures of your horse and/or rider if you wish to do so.

  • Texts about horse and rider are not required but remember that this is a creativity oriented competition and as such presentation and information can play a big role.

Participation Rules and Turnout
  • All horses and ponies (realistic breed, mythical or made up) may enter this event. Mythical and made up breeds may not use any supernatural power to their advantage.

  • All riders (humans or otherwise) may enter this event.

  • You may take the pictures in any setting (any world, any season, any weather).

  • You can only register in one discipline per entry. However, you may go pro in two compatible disciplines for your horses (meaning you can enter a horse twice - in which case you can reuse your conformation picture), and three compatible disciplines for your riders (again you may reuse the full body picture of your rider).

  • If you are opting for multiple disciplines, make sure they make sense. You wouldn't specialize in both reining and show jumping for example, but you could do both modern dressage and western dressage, or eventing and show jumping...

  • REMEMBER that once you go pro, you cannot enter your horse in casual shows anymore, so the discipline(s) you have chosen for your horse are the only ones you will be able to enter until you retire that horse from the Pro circuit.

-----

  • Despite the openness of this show, appropriate saddles, bridles and leg protections for each disciplines are required for horses and helmets, boots and clothing (pants and at the very list a shirt) are required for riders.

  • In conformation pictures, the horse may have either a bridle or a halter. Hair styling is up to you, but the body shape (neck) must be visible (so don't cover it with long manes).

  • In full body rider pictures, the rider must wear clothing (it doesn't have to be equestrian but please no bathing suits, PJs, lingerie),

  • All other riding tack allowed, all colors allowed.

Classes and Prizes

You may choose to enter one of the following classes. In the event that you edit more than allowed in your class in a way giving you an unfair advantage, you will be moved to the class above the one chosen.

  • CLASS 1

  • Minimal Editing (Reins, Stirrup leathers, Blur and Filters)

  • CLASS 2

  • Medium Editing (Reins, Stirrup leathers, Blur, Hair, Ground modification, Some body shaping and patching and Filters)

  • CLASS 3

  • Maximal Editing (Reins, Stirrup leathers, Blur, Hair, Ground and Backdrop modification, All body shaping, Coat painting, Clothes modification/painting and Filters)

-----

  • All entries will be given a Pro circuit stamp in the appropriate discipline.

  • Winners of each class will be given an in-game trophy (this is a show after all).

  • Horse and riders will also be graded in the voting process (voters may assign them a grade between 1 and 10). Pairs averaging 8/10 will be given custom poses (of their choice) (courtesy of Ariès).

Voting
  • Only entrants of a class may vote for their class. It is forbidden to include your entry(ies) in your vote.

  • Entrants may vote only once, regardless of the number of times they have entered.

  • In your vote, you must place each entry in accordance to best to worst (in your personal opinion) for each competition leg (entries skipping an event will have their fifth picture judged in the event they didn't enter) and overall.

  • Each placing will be worth a sum of point (first place bringing the most point). At the end of the voting, the entries will be placed in accordance to those points.

  • When voting you will be given the option to give a grade to the entry (between 1/10).

  • This event is about story telling (we are looking for creativity, beauty but also realism (watch for clipping and impossible movements)).

Voting is Closed at the moment
